BRUSSELS An eight-member karate team from Iran will take part in the first Open Knockout Knockdown Karate Championships to be held in Antwerp, Belgium today.

The one-day tournament is sponsored by a private Belgian organization 'Kyodo Dojo'.

Gina van der Scheuren, secretary of the organization, told IRNA that six countries including Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Iran and Pakistan will compete in the contests.
